Bilal Aksoy

Bilal Aksoy is a Software Engineer at GBot Software Consultancy. He joined the company as a long-term intern in early 2023 and transitioned into a full-time role in late 2023. Throughout his internship, he worked on production-level software systems, contributing to real-world projects end to end, from concept through release. This sustained level of responsibility and impact naturally led to his transition into a full-time position, where the scope of his work expanded.

He holds a BSc in Software Engineering from Izmir University of Economics, where he met Asst. Prof. Gazihan Alankuş and was introduced to mobile development under his guidance.

Recognition

His capstone project, Bolt Sports, a mobile application that gamifies hockey training, was developed under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Gazihan Alankuş. The project won first place in the Education, Entertainment, and Gaming category at the 2024 Genç Beyinler Yeni Fikirler exhibition, a national competition showcasing innovative projects from young minds in and around İzmir.

He is also a contributor to Jaspr, the modern Dart web framework used to build this website. His contribution fixed a testing limitation with RawText components, enabling component-level tests for elements containing inline SVG and raw HTML. The fix has been merged into Jaspr's main branch.
